Privacy policy

This policy explains how Milerecord handles your records and support requests.

Records on your device

The app stores the information you enter, including case names, claimant names, optional claim numbers, saved addresses, travel dates, mileage, rates, parking and tolls. These records save locally first. Milerecord does not operate a server that receives your trip records.

Optional personal iCloud sync

If you enable sync, records are sent to Apple CloudKit in your own private iCloud database and count toward your iCloud storage. The developer cannot browse that private database. Sync runs while the app is open and may be delayed by connectivity, storage or Apple service availability. Deletions and changes can sync to your other devices. Turning sync off keeps existing iCloud data.

Purchases

Apple processes the one-time Pro purchase. The app reads Apple-verified transaction information to determine access to printing and PDF exports and restore purchases. The developer does not receive your payment card details.

Sharing and backups

Reports and JSON backups are created when you request them. When you use the system share sheet, the destination you choose receives the file. Reports and backups can contain personal addresses and claim details. The destination’s privacy practices apply. Keep backups in a location you trust.

Deletion and retention

Deleted trips can normally be recovered in Recently Deleted for 30 days. Local recovery copies and saved conflict versions may retain earlier information until removed. The separate Delete all records action removes app records and local recovery copies; when sync is enabled, deletion also reaches iCloud and connected devices. Copies you previously exported, shared or saved in device backups are outside the app’s control. Manage these through the relevant destination or Apple device and iCloud settings.

No tracking or automatic location collection

The app has no advertising or analytics SDKs, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not collect GPS location. The shipping configuration does not enable Google Maps or a routing server. Addresses and distances come from your input and saved records.

Support and this website

If you email support, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send, and use them to respond and troubleshoot. Do not include sensitive claim or medical details. This support website has no analytics scripts or contact forms. The hosting service processes ordinary technical connection data needed to serve and secure the website under its own practices.

Your choices

You can edit records, export backups, disable sync or delete records in Settings. Milerecord does not require a separate app account. Apple handles your Apple Account, purchases and iCloud under Apple’s privacy policy.
